〈ad because of brand naming〉Last June it was time for another “day in the life”. This project is for documenting my everyday’s life and see how it changes with the years. The last times I did the documenting of thoughts and photos in a traveler’s notebook. This time, I found it a bit boring to just continue with this as I did before. I wanted to keep the traveler’s notebook format, but not just filling it. While thinking about the how, this interactive mini album by Paige came to my mind again. So far, I did not like interactive albums that much, but I wanted to try this one. Thus, I watched Paige’s process video. I realized that it was not in really in the format of traveler’s notebooks and also not fitting into my Silhoutte. Hence, I did the planning manually and had cut everything with my trimmer. Version 1 went directly to the bin, version 2 is what you can see here:
This day of my life I wanted to document as “from where I stand”, which means that I constantly take photos face the camera towards my feet. I did not take every photo like this, but almost all. At the same time, this day was my first visit at the “kreativfest” (a shop party celebrating the launch of new products) at Alexandra Renke. It was a wonderful day: I re-met beloved scrappers, chatted a lot, tried a lot and also shopped a lot. And of course I also have to use paper by Alexandra Renke for my interactive traveler’S notebook.
You can find more about my other “days in the life) under the tag “day in the life” and in the kreativsüchtig magazin nr. 2 (German scrapbooking and DIY magazine). My overall conclusions about this interactive traveler’s notebook: it was a lot of fuzzy cutting but the remaining decorating, photo selection and photo placing was faster than normal. Most likely this was not my last interactive album.
