Mixed-media, art journaling, and myself…that took a little while…I joined Get Messy more than a year ago…but haven’t been active rarely…and even more, didn’t like what I created….and then I had and still have a flow. How comes? I guess I found a way to accept my perfectionism…so much for “perfectly imperfect”. When I scrap, I can move around the bits and pieces and also remove things I already had glued until I like the outcome. When working with colors, onec they are on the paper it gets difficult to remove or change. Meanwhile, when I do not like the outcome, I either put more color or glue something on top. Back to Get Messy: there are seasons, some weeks dedicated to a specific motto, and one gets 6-times weekly prompts for inspiration. The “season of introspection” is already over and currently, we are in the middle of the “season of music”, nevertheless, today, I show you my pages for the “season of introspection”:
The basis of my pages is an alterd book. I bought a 2nd hand book during our vacation in Japan last year where I put gesso on most of the pages as background. At some spots you still can see the Japanese letters, that is exactly what I also like about it. Here are some details of my pages:
Are you doing mixed-media or art journaling? How do you do it?
