Moodboards, I love them…these mini-collections of a few photos, which are different but still fit together in a hamonic way and where you find so many nice details when you have a closer look. The more it is surprising that I just realized the Jot magazine moodboard challenges…and they already exist since June 2013. I was so curious that I looked it up. Why didn’t I realize them earlier?! From now on, they belong to my monthly scrapping program 🙂
It all started with this very yellow July moodboard challenge…yellow is not really my color, thus, the more surprising it is, that exactly this one was so inspiring to me. Went through my whole scrapcorner and pulled out everything yellow…patterened paper, embellies, and colors…I really was surprised how much that was, though yellow is not so much my color…I said that before, right?! Coming to the layout, I did not use that much yellow:
The photo, which I used, was found relatively fast. Normally, I start with the photo, and then look for paper and decoration. Here, it was opposite. And I already was moving around my bits and pieces when I read, that I also should use something woody…well, then I went again through my stash, pulled out a lot of woody things, which did not fit that well…while doing this, I luckily spotted my woodgrain stamp…haven’t used that in a while…I could do….where is my transparent paper? And shortly after these thoughts my layout was finished.
Am I the only one who did not know about the Jot magazine moodboard challenges or didn’t you know either?
