…and then I danced though the office…Reni from the Dani Peuss team made my da, when she asked my a little while ago if I would like to be guest designer for the Dani Peuss Aprilkit. Yes, please! I am so happy about it. My office mate was a bit confused as I normally sit at the computer…and after understanding a bit more about scrapbooking and what happened, she was happy for me as well.
First, I needed to wait until it arrives. I was so curious about it. How would it look like? Would I have inspirations and ideas? Normally, when I order something I have a rough idea about what is going to arrive…but here, I have seen no photo or sneak. My head was spinning around….sometimes I also panicked a bit, what if I have no inspiration or when I cannot meet the deadline….however, “don’t panic” and “create something beautiful” became my mantras.
And then it arrived, just in time, because I was thinking of creating a gift wrap for a friend. There were 4h between the ring of the postman and the party. I have never been so fast in choosing the material. Ok, this was also relatively easy, as the material should come mostly from the kit. And the box was created in seconds…almost…extremely fast for me. The box is made of cardstock and patterned paper and the flower is made of a paper bag.
After having done the gift box, I had a run during the next days. one layout was finished after the other. Five layouts were already shown on the Dani Peuss blog. Won’t show you those here again, as I do not want to bore you 🙂 Nevertheless, I have added them to my layout gallery. Have you seen that already? Below is the 6th layout created from the kit.
There were also some frames in the kit, where I had only used 4 in my layouts. When Sabine was holding an online scrap event at the Dani Peuss forum, I knew I wanted to use those frames to create some cards.
Thank you so much, that I could be your guest designer!
My panic was without any reason, I really enjoyed it, and, thanks to Reni, I also have learnt a bit in Photoshop….and I am still dancing a bit.
