A little while ago Nikki aka nimena asked me if I would like to make a post for her blog. Of course I will…I was really happy about her asking me. Then I asked myself, what do I show….a layout for sure, but it should also be something special and be me….my style. Do I have an own style at all? And if so, how does it look like?
From some scrappers I only need to see a layout and know immediately from who it is. Paige is an example for such a scrapper. What frames my layouts? Do I have repeating elements? Often, I do not use too much and too different patterned papers. Also from a color perspective, I do not use too many different at once. My layouts mostly have one or two colors, which are also dominant on the photo. The photo itself is in the front. For me, it is important, that it does not get lost on that layout and one has to look for it. My backgrounds are mostly white or kraft and I would describe my layouts as clean and simple. But if that all defines an own style, I don’t know. At some point of time I would love to have an own style. Let’s see if and when this will happen. Currently, I still love experimenting and trying new things.
Speaking of trying….actually, I didn’t want to talk about my existing or non-existing style and instead invite you to have a look at my layout on Nikki’s blog. There, I have tried to include an adult coloring page into a layout. Have a look, how it turned out (Sorry, the text there is only in German…luckily, the photos speak all languages).
How about you? Do you have an own style? How do you describe?
