In the Dani Peuss forum there is Friday evening online scrapbooking event which, since a little while, one could offer to organize. Always wanted to do that….and finally hosted a “letter salad” yesterday. The original idea came from Fetzi who used to offer it for a while in the past.
The idea behind this “letter salad” is a riddle made of letters…the letters on the photo below should be used to guess the word I had in mind and then use all letters to create a layout. No, you should not just use 9 letters, they are the starting letters of techniques, materials, tools or shapes, which are on your layout. Here comes the “letter salad”:
The word I have picked is “gecrappt” (= German for scrapped)…
… and I have used the letters as follows:
G estempelt (stamped)
E mbosst (embossed)
S ticker (sticker)
C cardstock (cardstock)
R eißen (to rip)
A usschneiden (to cut out)
P ailletten (sequins)
P atterned paper (patterned paper)
T annen (firs)
Do you find all the used letters on my layout?
It was so much fun yesterday evening…it was amazing…my word was solved within 1 min and 11 secs….the first result, two cards, presented after 32 mins…it was a bit like speed scrapping…the first layout to a little bit longer: 1h30… maybe some of my letteres were not so easy. 15 layouts were created in total…I am so amazed by this….2 even made 2 layouts each. Again to those who participated yesterday: Thank you so much for the great evening!
Back to my layout: on the post of my carolers layout I had already mentionned, that I love the cut out photos on layouts from Stephanie Schütze. This photo I used here also had an unfavorable background, hence, I had cut the photo again, after having it laying around my desk for a while. Thir firs are embossed wood veneers, fox and squirrel are stamped and cut out. And in case you are looking for the sticker…it runs wild. 🙂
