Last weekend was so wonderful…together with other crazy scrappy girls, I was in Quickborn (close to Hamburg, Germany) on Mel’s Crop into May. The evening before May 1st is normally for dancing and partying, it’s called “dance into May”…my party was a bit different this time….honestly, I rarely do it nowadays. Back to the crop….on crops I am rarely productive, as I like to meet the others and talk to them…
Getting there was abit more tricky as thought before. Coming to Quickborn itself was not the issue, even Deutsche Bahn was, with only 5 minutes delay, relatively on time….it was the last kilometers to the hotel. there was a taxi rank but no taxi, even the hotel could not manage to send me one, as there was none available at 2 p.m. on a Saturday. Very strange. I did not feel like hiking in puring rain to the hotel. thanks to modern communication, I did not have to do this, Julia was sending me Jenny to rescue me with her car. I was so happy to arrive dry and right on time. Some already participated at Julia’s workshops in the morning and were heavily scrapping already…
At the beginning I was not scrapping at all, as I was so busy with chatting ….was so happy to re-meet some and to meet others for the first time in real life. And I also was so curious to look around and see what the others are doing…
…and what else was there….yummy!
Also brought a tiny present for the two organizers Mel and Jenny…two flip books, which as similar to a pocket letter just in mini-album format…at the time I made and presented them, I did not know that Jenny doesn’t care two figs about paper…what isn’t yet may well still be…and if not, then Mel can take the 2nd one as well 🙂
The later the day got, the funnier it was….this was my first real and spontaneous photo-bombing….primarily it should become a selfie of…but somehow I prefer it this way….crazy as we scrappers are.
…or was it due to the May wine?! 😉
(May wine is a traditional drink served in spring/May. It includes sparkling wine, sugar, and sweet woodruff)
After a short and flutter night, there do not seem to be any hangovers…we are all smiling. You can find a photo of the complete group at Mel’s post of the Crop into May, as it was taken with one camera only.
And then there was a mini-album workshop…I will show you the result soon, once it is finished….was too busy with chatting 🙂
It was so much fun….I had great and funny conversations…and I am looking forward to next year’s crop. Thank you for the wonderful crop and the perfect organization!
In case you wanna see more of the crop into may, then hop over to Sarah’s post (the text is in German, but the photos are international).
There was a giveaway in my last post: the winner is Marion L. Congratulations! Please send me your adress.
